Congratulations to Emmanuel Kayongo on his election as the Secretary for the Global Alliance for SBC.

Emmanuel is a founding member of the African Society for Social Behavior Change and currently serves as the Senior Techincal Advisor for SBC on USAID Uganda’s Social and Behavior Change Activity with John Hopkins Center for Communication Programs.

Emmanuel has 19 years of hands-on experience in social behavior change programming, management, research, monitoring and evaluation, quality improvement, knowledge management, health management information systems, and administration. Over this time, he has had the opportunity to work on integrated SBC and health systems programs handling thematic areas such as HIV/AIDS, global health security, COVID-19, malaria, family planning, reproductive health, TB, nutrition, WASH, maternal and child health, gender, and youth programming. His expertise extend to other areas, including financial inclusion, livelihoods, and agricultural extension.
