Susan Njeru

Susan Njeru is a development finance and strategic partnerships leader with extensive experience in resource mobilisation, communication for development, and strengthening systems for community-driven change. She currently leads external engagement and grant acquisition strategy at Food for the Hungry Kenya, where she supports teams in building evidence-driven proposals, cultivating strategic collaborations, and enhancing organisational visibility.

She previously held senior roles in resource mobilisation at Heifer International and Caritas Nairobi, where she facilitated institutional fundraising, partnership development, and market intelligence across the humanitarian and development sectors. Susan is also a Doctoral Fellow with a growing research interest in governance, public finance, and socio-economic policy across Africa.

She is an active member of the African Social and Behaviour Change (AfDECoP) community, where she contributes to strengthening SBC practice, evidence use, and cross-sector collaboration across the continent.
